This is the most recent Lissin' album, recorded July 11th, 2008 live at Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple. The album showcases the development in all the members of the band, and the area this is first clear in is the quality of the tunes themselves. Each band member's writing has improved significantly, and this is clear from the opening moments of the first track--an adaptation of the chord changes of the Beatles' "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" written by keyboardist Kyle Liss--right to the end of the fiery closer "Chocolate Lounge," a super tight and funky original by saxophonist Lucas Ellman. The lineup is once again the original Lissin' quartet, featuring Lucas Ellman on tenor saxophone, Kyle Liss on acoustic piano and keyboards, Greg Feingold on double bass, and Zane Ranney on drums. The second Lissin' album, also recorded at B-Side Audio. Stretch is a collection of Lissin' originals which captures the spirit and essence of the band in some of its finest moments. The lineup is the original Lissin' quartet, with Lucas Ellman on alto and tenor saxophones; Kyle Liss on the Fender Rhodes, Hammond M3 Organ, and piano; Greg Feingold on double bass, and Zane Ranney on drums.
